Personal Development Programs NAMA Personal
Development Programs are designed to equip professionals and students with the
knowledge and skills to deliver and contribute to effective, evidence-based
anger management services. Philosophically, the knowledge and skills components
of the Personal Development Programs are based on some core propositions. These
include but are not limited to:
an overview of anger problems,
an understanding of the nature of anger, anger management skills & concepts,
utilization of anger log and the role of trigger thoughts, an understanding of
primitive/evolved brain functioning, cognitive distortion, the problems of shame
and narcissism, the role of communication and assertiveness, role of stress, and
the role of consequences.
Practitioners with little experience with anger management can be educated to
support self-management mental health qualities. This can be achieved by
innovative, focused anger management skills based education programs that do not
replicate in a dilute form traditional mental health training programs. Evidence
suggests that skills and attitudes about anger management problems can be
significantly improved through skills base focused education and training
programs. DVD(3 Disk Set) - Authorized Anger Management Training Basic Content produced by Growth Central and endorsed by NAMA.
